General Bog Rules :

1)   Any truck fitting a lower class can enter a higher class.

2)   If you miss your running order you will receive a DQ for that pass.
      (3 minute time limit to answer the line up call)

3)   Must use Gasoline in classes 100 - 400.
( Alcohol, Nitrous Oxide and fuel additives are allowed only in
      Class  600-Open Class ).


4)   Double entries allowed (must have two drivers) but the truck will only place in one
      position. Only one payout, per truck, per class.

5)   All trucks must have a rigid rear hitching point with a clevis.

THE TECH CREW RESERVES THE RIGHT TO RECLASSIFY, RETECH, OR REMOVE ANY VEHICLE AT ANY TIME, FROM A CLASS, RACE, OR PREMESIS. THE TECH CREW WILL INTERPRET ANY RULE OR CLASSIFICATION USING THE “SPIRIT” IN WHICH THE RULE WAS INTENDED.  Any blatant disrespect shown to the tech crew or Overlander’s staff by racers, crew members, or fans will be cause for removal from the grounds and forfeiture of all admission and/or entry fees and winnings.



Class 100 Bog    up to 33” tires

*** 33 inch dot approved, unaltered tire - max (measured using a 33" inch gauge, even if tire is labeled 33" it must not exceed 33" in actual height, you may need a wider rim to shorten tire height)

4 & 6 Cylinder :
Factory frame and cab.(Truck bed will be determined adequate per the tech crew’s discretion)
Any 4 or 6 cyl that doesn’t meet the “4 & 6 cyl” rules will be required to race the 400 class or an “experimental” 4 & 6 cyl class will be created for a single day’s race if entries permit.

Stock V-8’s :
Steady minimum of
17 inches vacuum at 800 RPM
torque converter stall speed not over 1800, measured in low range
blocks must have factory markings such as GM , FORD,  etc
Engine, body and drive train must be same make and model
Bed must be able to hold 300 pounds at any point
max 650 vacuum secondary carburetor, no double pumpers, no modifications to carb
2 inch spacer or adapter allowed
must be naturally aspirated , no turbochargers, blowers, superchargers, etc.
Removal of removable tops and tailgates ok
No traction devices
Lift allowed
No headers, exhaust must extend a minimum of 6 inches past cab
muffler required, maximum of 2 ½” inch diameter exhaust
If Fuel injection came on the vehicle from the factory, and it is not an after market fuel system or modified, it is allowed.


Class 200 Bog    up to 38” tires

38 inch tire max (measured using a 38" inch gauge, even if tire is labeled 38" it must not exceed 38" in actual height, you may need a wider rim to shorten tire height)
Blocks must have factory markings such as GM , FORD,  etc
Any DOT approved, uncut, unaltered tire meeting class height requirements
No Gutting
Full body functional bed, Bed must support 300 pounds at any point
Steady minimum of 15 inches vacuum at 1000 RPM
No after market or aluminum heads or blocks
Engine,  Body, and drive train must be same make
No V8 in Mid size - S10 , Ranger , etc unless factory option
No stall over 2500 rpm, no trans brakes
any single carburetor,  No 4500 series carbs
must be naturally aspirated , no turbochargers, blowers, superchargers, etc.
Aluminum Intake ok
No traction assist devices, stock suspension, Lift ok
All components in place and the capable of being used - Lights, wiper , heater core, etc.
Metal bumpers required
Removal of removable tops and tail gates ok
Fuel Cell Allowed
battery and radiator must remain in stock location
open headers allowed , no mufflers or exhaust required
If Fuel injection came on the vehicle from the factory, and it is not an after market fuel system or modified, it is allowed.


CLASS 300 BOG   up to 38" tires
- Must meet all rules of class 200 BOG with the following exceptions :
no vacuum check required
Ladder Bars OK



CLASS 400 - NEW BOG CLASS  up to 44" tires

- Must meet all rules of class 200 BOG with the following exceptions :
no vacuum check required
Ladder Bars OK.
any iron head is allowed
44 inch tire max (measured using a 44" inch gauge, even if tire is labeled 44" it must not exceed 44" in actual height, you may need a wider rim to shorten tire height)



Class 500 Bog    up to 44” tires

No aluminum blocks
Any DOT approved, uncut, unaltered tire meeting class height requirements
Gutting permitted
Maintain truck appearance
Driver must be in front of the rear axle and on the left side of the vehicle
Factory style transmission
Engine in front of firewall
NO hemi heads
harmonic balancer max 10 inches back from the front axle
Rollbar required, minimum 1 1/2" OD tubing
(minimum .090 inch tubing wall thickness) with inspection hole
roll bar must be secured to vehicle in at least 6 separate points
Must have kill switch
Multiple carbs are allowed
must be naturally aspirated , no turbochargers, blowers, superchargers, etc.
Any suspension is permitted
If Fuel injection came on the vehicle from the factory, and it is not an after market fuel system or modified, it is allowed.

Class 600 Bog  -  OPEN CLASS

If the truck did not fit a lower class it must have :

Rollbar required, minimum of 1 1/2 inch OD tubing,
( minimum .090 inch tubing wall thickness ) with inspection hole

roll bar must be secured to vehicle in at least 6 separate points
must have Kill switch
